Will has his first bath

Will had his first bath this morning. The video below shows just how much he enjoyed it. We had some lunch at the hospital and then he went into the maxi cosy (car seat) for the short journey home. It’s nice to have him and Mum home.

William Michael Jago

Julie and Michael are proud to announce the safe arrival of our baby boy William Michael Jago at 2.45pm today (Luxembourg time), on Thursday April 5th 2012.

Will is 4 kg’s, & 55cms long and he and Julie are well, but both very tired. He spent the afternoon sleeping (photo attached) which was a pleasant surprise for us as we didn’t have the same quiet start with Mia…

He has his hat on in the photo, but he does actually have a good head of dark coloured hair (unlike his Dad 🙂 )

Where did March go?

Well March 2012 is a blur. It went by so quickly. I was away working in France, Spain and Germany for 11 days. After Frankfurt Music Messe, we had Australian friends visit us in Lux. 2 days with Roger & Sue Clapton & 2 days with Ian Flowers, then suddenly March was over. Here are some photos from the past week. We had beautiful days of 20 degrees + all last week.

The end of winter…

Today in Luxembourg was the traditional Buergbrennen festival, based on an ancient pagan tradition, marking the end of Winter and the start of Spring, (as proof it rocketed up to 9 degrees today). The occasion is marked by a torchlit parade through the streets, which culminates in a giant bonfire in which old Christmas trees are burned (among other things).

We spent the afternoon with friends and our dinner ran late, so by the time we arrived the fire was all but over. Here are some photos below. The cross being built in the afternoon, the actual fire at 7PM (photo I stole from a local web site), and the fire as it looked by the time we got there one hour later 😦   Oh well…

Finally, I did get to take a photo of the Grund at night, so there was one advantage to being out at night 🙂

The snow is back!

It has been a rather mild winter in Europe this year, but the cold has returned. Every day this week has a top temperature in the minus, with Thursday and Friday top being -6 degrees. Here is a photo of Mia enjoying the cold today and a photo taken from our balcony. It looks beautiful from the warmth inside, but it’s bitterly cold outside.

Back in Lux

After two weeks working in the US, it was nice to arrive home on Friday. I had a week in Anaheim for the NAMM music trade show, followed by a week in our Samsontech head office in New York. Our company has a party each year, and we have a roster of our endorsee musicians who play at the party for around 300 people. This year we were surprised to have Stevie Wonder play 3 songs. The great man is amazing. Great keyboard playing and fantastic voice. I felt very privileged to see him play.

I also managed to do a little shopping for kids clothes which made Jules happy.

Congratulations Gab !!!

Well done to Gabby Jago who has started her first full time job. Gab has accepted a hairdressing apprenticeship at a salon in Pinewood shopping centre in Melbourne and she started work on Friday. That hairdressing course at Bendigo TAFE was well worth doing. We wish you all the best Gabstar and hope this is the start of an enjoyable career.
